The data we use for these charts are the official generation data from the Elexon website. We also check Trading Data from the same site and cross-check with data on Renewable Obligations from the Ofgem website.

We always show data in complete 12 month periods to avoid seaonal bias. We usually aim to summarize on the basis of the most recent 5 years of data at least, although this is subject to availability and sometimes a shorter time period is used. We generally avoid any periods where data are unreliable due to issues with measuring or recording performance.

We do not necessarily make all older data available, as our emphasis is on recent and current trends and on supporing forecasting.
