Here we show the latest performance information, using data from the Elexon website. Use the Demand and Supply Sources controls to select the contributions you wish to see in the chart. The Total of selected sources line shows the total for the sources you have selected.

Transmission System Demand (TSD) comprises National Demand (ND) + Station Load + Pump Storage Pumping + Interconnector Exports, where:

• National Demand is the sum of metered generation
• Station Load is an estimate of the power needed by generators themselves to generate electricity and is taken to be 500MW in BST and 600MW in GMT.
• Storage Pumping is the power needed to pump at hydro pump storage units
• Interconnector Exports is the sum of all exports from GB using interconnectors.

Note that estimated power from unmetered embedded wind and solar generation units is excluded, but the corresponding quantity of demand is also not included.
